Topic Deleted on Facebook Due To Religious Talk

I noticed that I commented on a "friend's" post yesterday & the entire conversation of I would say ten people was completely taken down. Why, you ask? I'm so glad you did....The topic was about the birds & fish dying and why they might be dying. Someone asked."were the Mayans off by a year"

My response to that was the Mayan belief is BS. I also asked if these people were Christians; simply referring to the fact that if they were then their bible should tell them that no man will know the day or time that God shall come back.

I don't understand the point of deleting the conversation. This is the way I see the deletion. The topic got a little controversial. The status of religion was brought up and, therefore, the group couldn't handle it, so let's run from the topic.

Actually if the Mayan's were off, it would have been more than a year. If you are holding true to the Mayan calendar, your day of hell-fire and damnation will be December 21, 2012. As for what you believe in, you are entitled to believe whatever you choose. Hello, freedom of religion; unless Obama took that from us already. Believe in what you want.

There are 22 major religions: Christianity at 2.1 billion (just to stroke the ego of christians); followed by Islam at 1.5 billion; then Secular, Agnostic, Atheist at 1.1 billion; Scientology, sorry guys you are last with 500,000. So with so many religions and beliefs, who the hell knows what is right and wrong.

Please don't respond with words from your bible, koran, etc. I mean, the words would be from your specific religion and would only support YOUR belief. Let's take christianity: There are over 50 religious sects in Christianity, all having different beliefs. Please don't tell me the all have a common goal. You're wrong. Each one of them think THEIR way is the right way.

I could break it down even more for you, but SOME of you know what each religious sect believes. The majority doesn't; they just think they do. Most believe solely what they have been told by their preachers. Most haven't studied and made THEIR own decision of what to believe. Most choose Christianity because it sounds good and others will view you as a good person. Most use Christianity has a tool to get ahead in life with their business or whatever benefits their needs.

Do you get it yet or are you still in denial? Let others be. Don't influence "the lost" to become lost with you. Make your own decisions, folks.
